To announce the 25th Anniversary of Pokémon we needed to create a trailer that spanned generations of fans from the 90s to present day, across video games, trading card games, animated series, merchandise and thousands of beloved Pokémon. To do this we created a massive Rube Goldberg contraption that travelled through the eight regions of the Pokémon world using elements from all categories of Pokémon fandom. To cap off the trailer we announced the beginning of a massive year long music partnership with a tease of our first music collaboration featuring Katy Perry. The trailer was received as a massive success inspiring nostalgia to a vast audience, it was shared across Pokémon and Katy Perry’s social channels, and reached #4 on YouTube’s trending page.
